Interface to the customer’s machine in existing production
ROSA’s defined movement pattern is customized and programmed individually.
Interfaces to the customer’s machine are thoroughly checked in advance for collisions – requiring customers to provide us with their mechanical interfaces in 3D.
Moreover, electrical and signal interfaces need to be fine-tuned (Profinet, Profisafe).

Technology
Robot
ROSA can work on her own or with her twin sister – depending on the length and flexibility of the profiles in question.
With the robot model, we focus on efficient implementation and handover processes at high speed in a larger working area.
A robot has got six axes, a reach of approx. 2.5m and a load capacity of 40kg minimum.
Gripper systems
Depending on the type of profiles/bars, we use custom gripper systems, designed and commissioned by Feiba Engineering & Plants GmbH.
Types of grippers:
- finger or mandrel
- vacuum
- mechanical gripper
Depending on the profile/bar, there are also options to change the gripper system automatically (using tool changing systems).
Default is a manual change, allowing for a wide range of manipulation options.
Optical recognition / camera system
ROSA’s integrated camera system can identify the position, communicate it to ROSA and thereby calculate the approach position – within a few fractions of a second.
Therefore, the profile positions do not have to be identical throughout.Die Lage der Profile muss somit nicht immer identisch sein.
To ensure reliable operation of the optical system, additional custom lights are specifically adjusted.
Space requirement
Space requirement for ROSA and her twin sister in your production depends on the length of the profiles. For e.g. 6.5m profiles the space required is 11m x 3m.
Enclosure / safety fence
ROSA comes with a protective enclosure to ensure the safety of all employees. Like her best friend, ROSA sticks to Feiba standards regarding the quality of this enclosure:
- aluminium profile frames
- transparent panes with rounded Feiba-corners
- access door
- light screen to secure opening for container change
Alternatively, automatic mechanical protection for the changeover opening can be provided.
